This knife is an outdoor winner. It is big. The sabre ground thick blade chops through brush (and bone)as good as a hatchet without the drawbacks. Holds a hell of an edge too. Combines the best features of a hunting knife and a machete with a more useful all around length. The sheath is GREAT. Lined so you don't slice it when drawing and the exterior pocket will carry whatever the mission requires in addition to the knife. Stone, smaller food knife, beer opener etc.

This is a very nice knife for processing fire wood and general woods tasks. I like the heft of it and it's chopping and splitting capability. After sharpening it a little more to my liking and modifying the sheath so that I can easily attach and detach from my belt I find myself very satisfied over all. I riveted on a heavy duty swivel to the top of the sheath that attaches to a heavy duty belt loop that has snaps so I don't have to undo my belt to put it on or take it off. (Mod it and make it your own!)
The only thing that caused me to give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the handle can be a little hard on your hand after a good bit of chopping. Almost have to use a good pair of leather gloves to keep from getting blisters if you have a lot of work to do. But I suppose that is the best practice anyway.
Great Job OKC (If you gave me the option of 4 1/2 stars I would have given it!)
