Great all round knife! Its a great knife for the money. Its tough and can do things big and little knives can do! Gave it a 4 because of the sheath and the smallish handle, but the handle fit and finish don't mean much to me as it does others. I was looking for a good all round carry blade in the field and found this one. The RD 6 has a better sheath but I wanted the extra inch on this knife. 5160 steel of this knife makes it tough! The hilt for hard hitting thumping is one of the reasons I got it. Get yours as supplies last! They stopped making this knife! The RD6 probably will be around but the RD7 is just a bit better!

Purchased this knife to test against the Becker BK7 and ESEE6. This is a monster of a knife, after doing my best to destroy this knife, I rate it as the best purchase of the three for the money. It is easy to sharpen, it holds an edge, and will do everything from skin and clean a dear and squirrel to baton through a 5-inch piece of wood. A great knife, I would recommend for anyone who wants one knife to do a lot of thjings

Five stars is for the knife, not the sheath. You would be hard pressed to find another knife this good at twice this price. Scales are micarta so they are easily molded with a dremmel if they aren't to your liking as delivered. As for the sheath, I molded the plastic insert with the heat gun, and replaced the Velcro with a snap. Retention is good now, but it's still no kydex sheath.
